Our Marketing Plan Idea

Our business is called T.G.I.F. Night Event Planning. We are dedicated to creating a unique event for each client. Our company’s mission is to create a remarkable memory for our clients. We are able to plan and bring visions to life. Depending on the different occasions such as birthday, wedding, graduation parties, we will cater to the client from start to finish.
Clients can simply contact us through our website, and we would send out an agent to meet with clients. During this initial meeting, clients will be briefed about event details and our agent will create notes to understand client preferences, including event topic, favors, the amount of guests, etc. Based on the client’s needs, we have various plans depending on the geographic demand that customers desired.
Our company holds from small size events at client’s household yard or living room to large size event places (outdoor wedding, or a single family party) with various prices. The basic service that we provide is to decorate the place for the event. Clients can order additional services such as personalize birthday cake, food, and drink with extra fees. In respect for neighborhood concerns about partying in the community, our firm also provide a luxurious plan for clients who need a place to enjoy the party while not bothering the community. We offer houses located at suburban areas so that clients can have more privacy and less concerns regarding the volume of noise.

  2. First of all, great marketing plan! I just want to know what will be the target market? For instance, age group, gender, social class. I brought this up because you guys mentioned "luxurious plan" for various clients and that would impact the target market whether they are able to afford it.

    1. So far, we are not sure whether we should focus on a certain age group or specific type of event planning because our plan can be used in many different type of parties which can be in many purposes. However, if we are going to focus on an age group, we are thinking of focusing on people in age around 20 to 35 because they are more acceptable to new ideas.

    2. This is truly one of the challenges marketers have when it comes to segmenting their markets. You should think about the criteria we discussed regarding what makes a good segment and that might help guide you. Also, if you develop a good enough mission statement, that might be of help as well. Keep up the good work!

  3. Going off what Tony has said what would be your target market group? How are you guys going to market your self different from the current competition?

  4. Seems like a very complex idea, but a do worthy marketing plan indeed. I think with well organization and planning your marketing plan is a great idea. To follow up on what both Tony and Kelli mentioned I do also want to reiterate how you're able to target the certain market you want and how does it fair with other competitors to want to go to you as opposed to some one else that does similar services?

    1. Indeed, that is why we are still considering about age group, financial ability among different ages, and event planning trends.

  5. Sounds great! But yeah, who is your target market? Would you have stuff for lower incomes or just for those with a higher income? I know that lower income families like to have parties and entertain too, its just harder to afford.

  6. I think this is a thorough marketing plan! From this post, I assume that you will have different catering options for consumers with varying budgets (multiple targeted market segments)?

    1. That is right!!!This plan is still an overall idea, which is kinda broad, but we do range the events with different budget depending on customer's situation and wants. Its' main point is to customize the event for clients and make it more fun with surprises

  8. Wow, you guys make a lot of busy life easier, but if your price is reasonable I bet more people come to you even if moderate or low incomers. What target market you guys concentrate on ?

  9. I like how you guys came up with such a fancy idea!!It sounds like you guys are the EVENT PLANNER! How are you guys gonna charge your clients? Since you guys are responsible for decorating the event and providing the food.. you guys should narrow down the list of food or decorations for them to chose from. Maybe you guys should offer certain theme or perhaps do a survey of the top 15 most wanted type of of foods or design. It would make your life a lot easier. Just a thought!

  10. What makes you different from everyone else who does event planning? Do you have other ways on getting clients other than online from your website? The Internet is constantly expanding with companies just like yours. My friend is getting into event planning and she's planning her first big event. She got her client from networking within our sorority and she's planning a huge 50th birthday party for 3 ladies and they wanted it to be prom themed.

  11. This is an awesome idea! Knowing that event planning is a competitive industry, what is your competitive approach? The services you provide are very usefully for people like my self that live a busy lifestyle. There is a lot of possible potential in this industry; the potential just needs to be discovered!

  12. Great idea and detailed about knowing what your company will be doing. Seems like your company will make lives a lot easier for people like myself who dont like to plan events. I am interested to see how you will set your event planning company apart from all the other competitors. Im excited to see how 'unique' your events will be!

  13. I have always wanted to hire a event planner! The only thing that has held me back was the costs and the large options! I hope that the costs are reasonable and there is something that makes it easy to pick you guys out of all the competitors!! Cannot wait to hear more !

  14. Event planning can be a difficult task. Whether it is a corporate function or a family picnic there is a lot of work involved. Having a third party coordinate the event would be so much easier as it allows the attendees and hosts of the party to enjoy the event and have a good time. Creating a memorable experience is nearly priceless in the middle of those once in a lifetime moments. Definitely intrigued to hear how you will set yourselves apart from the competition.

  15. What price will you charge? And, Which group do you focus? One more concern is about neighborhood. They are frustrated if there is a party next to their houses. How do you do deal with it?

  16. This is a good idea. However, I feel that people in suburban areas are actually more prone to call the police for noise complaints.

  17. Sounds like you have a good start on your marketing plan. Like Lyna, I'm wondering if you have thought about alternative launching points for your business other than through the internet. Internet does allow a company to be accessible at all times to a large audience, but the vast amount of other companies offering similar services online could cause you to go unnoticed. If your main outlet is the internet, then maybe you should think about looking into search engine optimization. That way people searching online for party planners can be directed to your site first.

  18. Good idea because it will make event planning easier for many people but there are many competitors so you just need to find innovative ways to distinguish your company from the others.

  19. Interesting mareketing plan. I would only show concern to who your target market is as well as the way you plan on advertising your company. I would suggest having a booth set up at venuse to advertise who you are and the types of events you offer.

  21. This is a great idea for those who are not too savvy at planning events and who do not have time to plan events. With the increase in the "busy lifestyle" that almost all of society has it is imporant that there are businesses out there to make life easy. This is an interesting market to get into and a great idea! Can't wait to learn more

  23. Having a place where you can hold an event/party without having to worry about those not invited would be an awesome idea.

more time can be spent on having fun at the event and you never have to worry about somebody crashing the party saying the music is too loud or that the event is causing a disturbance
